MPTF providers join CIGNA PPO network

Summary ... Participants now have in-network access to the MPTF Health Centers and physicians in Southern California.

AFTRA Health Plan participants now have in-network access to the Motion Picture & Television Fund health centers and physicians in the Los Angeles area, following a recent network agreement between CIGNA and the MPTF. Effective Oct. 1, 2011, participants may visit any MPTF provider and receive network benefits forcovered services as they do for services from other CIGNA network providers.
The MPTF is a health and human services organization dedicated exclusively to serving entertainment industry performers and their family members. The MPTF operates seven health centers and employs more than 40 physicians and other health care professionals in the Southern California area. Because MPTF providers are exclusive to members of the entertainment industry, please note that MPTF providers are not listed in CIGNA’s online provider directory. To locate an MPTF network provider, you must visit the page linked above.
