AFTRA H&R hosts 'Bring Your Child to Work Day'

Summary ... AFTRA H&R welcomed several employees' children for National Bring Your Child to Work Day on April 22.

Full story ... Fourteen children ages 8-18 spent the day where their parents work. By attending classes and working together on activities, they learned about careers, cooperation and teamwork.

"Through learning about all aspects of a job, it showed me everything that goes into one career," said Jackie, age 14. "Our seminar on managing money taught me skills that I can use throughout my life."

"I think it's fun taking experience from my mom's job," added Alex, 11.

William, 8, said that "it's fun to learn about money and other people's careers."

As one of the activities, several of the children worked together to write this news announcement for the Web site.

"It was really educational and entertaining to visit my mom and all the employees' children, and to learn about financial advice and such," said Sawandi, 12.
