Pharmacy and prescription drug resources - Medco.com – Register with Medco.com to access pharmacy resources and the prescription drug mail order program, as well as general health and wellness information. From within Medco's site, Health Plan participants also may access MyRxChoices, which helps participants identify cost-saving alternative medications to discuss with their physicians.
- Generic Drugs: Information for Consumers – Visit this section of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Web site to learn more about generic drugs and to search for generic equivalents for popular name-brand drugs. Choosing generic medications whenever possible can provide significant cost savings, and FDA requires generic drugs have the same high quality, strength, purity and stability as brand-name drugs.
- DrugDigest – A non-commercial, evidence-based, consumer health and drug information site dedicated to empowering consumers to make informed choices about drugs and treatment options.
- Drugs.com – An online resource for drug and related health information, presenting independent, objective, comprehensive and up-to-date information for both health care consumers and health care professionals.
- Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage – Information about Medicare prescription drug benefits from Medicare.gov.
Prescription drug financial assistance - The Partnership for Prescription Assistance – Raising awareness of prescription drug assistance programs available from participating pharmaceutical companies, which provide assistance to qualified individuals who lack prescription drug coverage.
