If you qualify for the Senior Citizen Health Program, you must enroll and pay timely quarterly premiums to be covered under the Senior Program. Current quarterly premiums for the Senior Citizen Health Program (through Dec. 31, 2011)

  • Retiree only ... $144 per quarter
  • Retiree and legal spouse / domestic partner ... $418 per quarter
  • Retiree with children ... $418 per quarter (regardless of the number of dependent children covered)
  • Full family ... $477 per quarter (regardless of the number of dependent children covered) 
Current quarterly buy-up premiums for the Senior Citizen Health Program (through Dec. 31, 2011)
If you only qualify for individual coverage under the Senior Citizen Health Program , you may choose to "buy up" to family coverage by paying a buy-up premium, in addition to the individual premium, each quarter.
  • Retiree plus one dependent ... $2,209 per quarter ($144 plus a buy-up premium of $2,065)
  • Retiree plus two dependents ... $4,078 per quarter ($144 plus a buy-up premium of $3,934)

New quarterly premiums for the Senior Citizen Health Program (effective Jan. 1, 2012)

  • Retiree only ... $151 per quarter
  • Retiree and legal spouse / domestic partner ... $439 per quarter
  • Retiree with children ... $439 per quarter (regardless of the number of dependent children covered)
  • Full family ... $501 per quarter (regardless of the number of dependent children covered) 
New quarterly buy-up premiums for the Senior Citizen Health Program (effective Jan. 1, 2012)
If you only qualify for individual coverage under the Senior Citizen Health Program , you may choose to "buy up" to family coverage by paying a buy-up premium, in addition to the individual premium, each quarter.
